Kahu started with a pretty simple idea: I wanted to build an experience that I'd be most comfortable leaving my own cats behind in — a place where they can take their time settling in and have space to roam. A place where you can go away for a couple of days, worry-free, knowing they're being taken care of as though they were one of our very own. That's Kahu — a little holiday home for them, and a little peace of mind for you.

Every stay starts with a free meet-and-greet so your cat isn't walking into a stranger's home. You'll get a settling-in photo within a few hours of drop-off, then twice-daily photo & video updates for the rest of the stay. Still unsure? Ask for a free video consultation before you decide.
Kahu is run by a feline nutrition student — fussy eaters and specific dietary needs aren't an inconvenience here, they're the point. Home-made food and medication administration are both available as add-ons, given exactly as instructed.
They won't be around any. After boarding plenty of cats, we found shared free-roam space just isn't worth the stress for most of them — so every cat now gets their own private suite, with no forced mixing and no competing for space.
Kahu is vet-assisted, with an on-call vet just five minutes away. If your cat needs care and we can't reach you right away, we're authorized to act immediately rather than wait. Every term is written down, not just promised — download the full policies below.
Every stay is a Private Suite — fully loaded, no hidden add-ons.
A portion of every stay goes toward The Gully Cat Project, my community initiative fostering and rescuing street cats around Hyderabad. That's also why our rates are fixed and non-negotiable — keeping them steady is what lets us keep showing up for the cats who don't have anyone else.

Both are the same private suite with dry food available round the clock. Classic (₹750/night) asks you to bring your cat's usual wet food for main meals. Premium (₹850/night) includes wet food twice a day from our stock (Whiskas or Sheba) — nothing to pack. Want a specific brand? We'll source it at MRP.
Yes — our Day Pass covers a full 7-hour daytime stay with up to two meals, at ₹499. If pickup can't happen by 6:00 PM, a full day tariff of ₹850 applies instead.
Yes, special rates apply for stays of 6 nights or more. Ask us for the exact rate when you book.
Typically between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, subject to confirming the exact time with your Kahu host. Pick-up after 6:00 PM is treated as an additional night's tariff.
50% in advance to confirm and hold your cat's slot, and the remaining 50% at drop-off, before the stay begins. We can hold a tentative booking for up to 24 hours without payment — after that, the slot may be released to another booking.
Yes — cats from the same family are always boarded together, up to 3 per suite, with 10% off the total stay.
A soft copy of their vaccination records (needed to confirm your booking), any medication with clear instructions, and — if you'd like — a blanket or toy that smells like home. Just a secure carrier for drop-off and pick-up. On the Classic Suite, bring your cat's usual wet food too — litter and dry food are always on us.
